Gal4/UAS system-dependent gene recombination and cell imaging

In February 2023 "Mouse of the Month", we introduced a UAS-Cre-T2A-miRFP670 Tg mouse strain (RBRC11716) deposited by Satoru Takahashi, M.D.,Ph.D. and Masaharu Yoshihara, M.D., Ph.D. (University of Tsukuba).

Updated Exp-Plant Catalog – Added information on TF-GR strains –

The TF-GR line is an overexpression line of the Arabidopsis transcription factor (TF) fused to the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) gene. Information about the 5648 TF-GR line is now available in the Exp-Plant catalog.

FY2023 Training course for human iPS cells

The training course for human iPS cells will be resumed after suspension due to COVID-19 pandemic. In this course, we will offer a lecture and practical training for human iPS cells including the overview of human iPS cell culture methods with passaging, freezing and resuscitation on feeder cells (vitrification method) as well as feeder-free culture methods in 1day course.

Obligate symbiotic DPANN archaea capable of growing under aerobic conditions

The DPANN group is a superphylum-level archaeal clade. Although the genomes of nearly 1,000species of DPANN archaea have been reported so far, no cultivated strains had been available in any culture collections until recently. Currently, two strains of symbiotic DPANN archaea capable of growing under aerobic conditions are available from JCM.
