Simplified Procedures under Comprehensive MTAs

As of April 1, 2025, RIKEN BRC has entered into Comprehensive Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) with the universities and research institutions listed below and has begun implementing the procedures under these agreements. For individual applications covered by a comprehensive MTA, an official seal is no longer required. This makes the application process simpler and more efficient.

PREPARATION & ELIGIBILITY

Japanese Institutional Eligibility

Comprehensive MTAs are currently limited to universities and research institutions in Japan.

Internal Institutional Approval

Verify whether your organization requires prior notification or approval before requesting resources.

  1. Review the Comprehensive MTA

    Coordinate with your institution’s intellectual property office to review all agreement terms.

  2. Complete and Submit the Application

    Download the correct form, include the BRC Approval Number, and email it.

  3. Coordinate Final Shipment

    Follow specific guidance from the Resource Development Office regarding delivery and logistics.
