Regarding the deposit and distribution of bioresources containing Cre-ERT(2)

The GIE-CERBM (Centre Europeen De Recherche En Biologie Et Medicine) in France is the developer of the Cre-ERT(2) construct and a co-owner of bioresources containing Cre-ERT(2). The RIKEN BioResource Research Center (BRC) and GIE-CERBM have agreed since August 27, 2024 regarding the deposit and distribution of bioresources (gene materials, cell lines, and mice) containing the Cre-ERT(2) as below.

Agreed points:

  • The GIE-CERBM acknowledges and consents to the deposit of Cre-ERT(2)-containing bioresources (Deposited Material) to BRC by third parties.
  • The GIE-CERBM agrees to BRC’s distribution of the Deposited Material to any academic or non-profit research institutions and its affiliated scientists, Professors, or other personnel (each a “Recipient”).
  • The recipient of the deposited shall acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions set forth in the Notice to Recipient, duly sign the document, and submit the signed copy to the RIKEN BioResource Research Center (“RIKEN BRC”) for each instance of sample receipt.
  • RIKEN BRC shall provide GIE-CERBM with a list of all recipients, together with corresponding copies of the Notice to Recipient, on a biannual basis for the purpose of usage reporting.
  • GIE-CERBM shall maintain the confidentiality of the recipient list and the associated Notice to Recipient documents, and shall not disclose such information to any third party.

It is expected that bioresources containing Cre-ERT(2) will continue to make a significant contribution to the development of life science research. We look forward to researchers’ active deposits and use of such bioresources.
